Andreas Krein is a visual effects artist and director known for the short films Hochbetrieb and Typokinematographikon. He is a graduate of the Animationsinstitut at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

Following an early interest in computer graphics he was in the demoscene in the 1990s. He now works as Head of 2D at Automatik VFX and is a member of the Visual Effects Society and the Deutsche Filmakademie. Andreas helped create visual effects for over 50 motion pictures.
